Waters/Micromass Q-TOF Ultima

The Waters Q-TOF Ultima is a quadrupole, orthogonal acceleration time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometer. It equipped with ESI and nanoESI interfaces. It has high resolution, sensitivity and mass accuracy. The Q-TOF Ultima is mainly used for LC-coupled MSMS analysis of peptides derived from gel spots and bands, accurate mass determination of biomolecules, protein post-translational modification studies, e.g. glycopeptide mapping. Proteomics LC/MS is now a mature method of analysis and it usually is coupled with electrospray ionisation (ESI) or atmospheric pressure chemical ionisation (APCI).
