MWAC Staff Workshops

The aim of these workshops is to promote cross-facility awareness of the growing capabilities of the Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre. Each session will demonstrate particular capabilities within a facility to promote discussion and interaction across MWAC. They will also provide staff with an opportunity to see how other facilities function.

In an attempt to cater better for staff demand, we have changed the way that the workshops are scheduled. Now people can register their interest for a specific technique, and when there are enough numbers a workshop will be scheduled. If you would like to register your interest, or would like to showcase your area of expertise by providing a workshop please contact Sydney Liu Lau or Brendan Lee.

Some examples of workshops that have been held in the past are:

  • X-Ray Diffraction with Emphasis on Powder XRD - Saroj Bhattacharyya (SSEAU)
  • What is Mass Spectrometry? - Sydney Liu Lau (BMSF)
  • Preclinical MRI, Data Collection and Processing - Marco Gruwel (BRIL)
  • Preclinical X-Ray CT - Brendan Lee (BRIL)
  • A Typical Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Experiment - Douglas Lawes (NMR)
