BiaCore T200 (Surface Plasmon Resonance, SPR)

BiaCore T200 uses an optical technique, surface plasmon resonance (SPR), to measure label-free detection of small molecule/protein/peptide/antibody interactions. The system has four channels and is capable of auto-sampling and allowing multiplexing of experiments for high throughput. This instrument provides:

  • Kinetic and affinity analyses
  • Biomolecular interactions
  • Calibration-free concentration analysis
  • Screening processes
  • Epitope mapping

QSense Analyzer (Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation monitoring, QCMD)

 

QCMD

QSense Analyzer (Quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring) uses acoustic and gravimetric techniques that allow label-free, real-time measurement of interactions between surface immobilised materials, molecules or cells with ng/cm2 resolution. The QSense Analyzer system has four channels allowing multiplexing of experiments for high throughput. This device provides:

  • Viscoelastic measurements
  • Thickness, structure and layer properties measurements
  • Kinetics and affinity analyses
  • capability to be equipped with an electrochemical module allowing simultaneous electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements or a cell module enabling simultaneous microscopy imaging.

BLItz (Bio-layer interferometry, BLI)

BLItz interferometry-based biosensor enables label-free real-time analysis of protein interactions in a minimum sample volume of 4 μL. This is a single channel, manually operated instrument and ideally suited to simple and low volume experiments. This instrument is particularly suited for:

  • Determination of a particular protein in a crude or purified sample
  • Kinetic and affinity analyses
  • Protein/antibody quantitation
  • Rapid immunoassay development

Monolith NT.115 - Red/Blue (Microscale Thermophoresis, MST)

Monolith NT.115

Monolith NT.115 uses microscale thermophoresis (MST), which is a biophysical technique that exploits the motion change of molecules in a microscopic temperature gradient during binding events. Monolith NT.115 measures the strength of the interaction between two molecules by detecting variations in the fluorescence signal. This instrument is particularly suited for:

  • Fast yes/no binding check in crude samples
  • Steady-state binding affinity (KD)
  • Quick proteins and molecules aggregation check
  • Competitive assay
