Access to the Cell Culture Facility is by yearly subscription ($800 per person per year).
New users must complete the Cell Culture Training course before they can access the facility.

Cell Culture Training Course
Learn about aseptic technique for successful cell culture; including thawing, passaging and freezing of cells for long term storage.
Courses will run in the first week of every month, starting February 3.
The course will run over 3 days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and will require attendance for 2.5 hours on each day (morning or afternoon).
There will be a maximum of 4 trainees per course.
Each of the three sessions will consist of a 30 lecture and a 45 minute demonstration, followed by time for each participant to carry out the task.
During the week you will receive hands-on training in the following:
- Introduction to aseptic tissue culture techniques for successful long-term tissue culture
- Thawing, passaging and freezing cells to retain stock solutions
- Counting and checking for viable cells
- Imaging cells and detecting contamination in the culture
